Heidelberg USA participated in its first NW Metro Atlanta Habitat sponsorship in 2009 and has built 10 houses in Cobb County. Through the years, about 50 employees and family members have volunteered on site for builds.
Heidelberg has been in Cobb County since 1994 and most employees live in Cobb and Paulding counties. “Habitat for Humanity allows our employees to work together as a team and see how lives are transformed,” said Susan Nofi, Heidelberg Senior Vice President, Human Resources and General Counsel. “They get to sweat, learn new skills, see one another in a different setting—and are energized by the experience.”
Recently, Heidelberg helped to sponsor the Women Build. At the end of the build, Nofi learned that the homeowner’s young son had always dreamed of a “real house with a driveway and basketball goal”. Heidelberg stepped in and surprised Raphael with a new basketball goal and basketball at the house dedication. Thank you Heidelberg for your partnership!
