This morning, eight Gray Ghosts came to our warehouse to build all the shutters for our 2017 construction season. In just a few hours, these amazing volunteers cut and assembled 288 shutters that will be installed on our houses this year. Our Gray Ghosts are a dedicated group of volunteers who work year round. They oversee work on our build sites, train construction volunteers, lead building and rehab projects, build special items (like the shutters in today’s video) and generally make things happen. Many of them meet monthly to discuss current projects and future plans. This meeting is open to volunteers who wish to become involved as site leaders and crew leaders.
