Support a Coalition

Cobb County High School Coalition

Students and families of the Cobb County High School Coalition support our building projects both financially and through labor, but they are always open to more community support. Building a Habitat home develops a spirit of service among our young people and teaches them useful skills. It requires discipline and sacrifice and promotes the importance of helping others. It also teaches them lessons they will draw on throughout their lives.

Students and Homeowner Family at the dedication of the 2018 High School Coalition Build

When you contribute to the high school building project you are making a long-term investment in your community. Each home has a market value of about $140,000. The families who purchase them become home-owning taxpayers who contribute to the economic stability of the county for decades to come. Please help them meet their house building goal and make a donation today.

These dedicated students are already planning for next year.  Please consider helping them by designating the Cobb High School Coalition on our donation page. Knowing they have the full support of their community behind them will help them reach their goal and also boost their spirits.  Your support makes the entire experience more enjoyable. Please help them provide a hard-working, deserving family with a life-changing opportunity to own a home.

Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition

The Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition (CIHC) is an interfaith group – Christian, Jewish and Muslim – focused on funding and building Habitat homes as their way of giving back to the community.

CIHC received the Creating Community Award in 2013 for their efforts to further the goals of diversity and inclusion in our community. Nineteen organizations in Cobb County were nominated for this honor. Only four organizations – one recipient from each district – received the award.  NW Metro Atlanta Habitat is proud to have CIHC as one of our valuable partners.

Cobb Catholic Coalition

Cobb Catholic Coalition on their 2018 build site

The Cobb Catholic Coalition has been an integral part of the Habitat family for over 26 years. During that time this dedicated group of volunteers has participated in the building of 42 Habitat houses. Many of these parish members also volunteer their time to serve as “Grey Ghosts,” the group of retirees who work with Habitat staff during the week to prepare the build sites for the next build day experience. These loyal volunteers also serve on the affiliates Board of Directors and Construction Committee.

The Coalition is comprised of volunteers from six local parishes:

  • Catholic Church of St. Ann
  • Holy Family Catholic Church
  • St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church
  • St Clare of Assisi
  • St. Joseph Catholic Church
  • The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration.

Chip In For Habitat is the financial subsidiary of the Cobb Catholic Coalition. 100% of all donations received go directly to funding the construction of houses for well qualified Habitat families.

As an IRS 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization all donations received are tax deductible.
