Habitat for Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta's affordable housing ministry is made possible by the generous financial support of our sponsors.
These businesses, government offices, faith-based organizations, civic groups and individuals provide the means to enable us to pursue our mission of, "Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope." In Cobb, Douglas and Paulding counties, we enact this mission by partnering with the community in building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.
There are many ways to be a sponsor. A house sponsor is any person or organization (company, church, civic group) who agrees to fund all, or a significant part, of the cost associated with building a Habitat home. House sponsors are entitled to provide construction volunteers and to work side-by-side with the future homeowner family. We create opportunities for house sponsors to foster teamwork and camaraderie within their organizations. House sponsors and their volunteers experience a true sense of accomplishment when the home is complete and enjoy participating in the home dedication.
Additional sponsorship opportunities include sponsoring land purchases, renovating existing houses, special event support and funding for the Chrys Street Scholarship program. This scholarship program provides post secondary financial support to selected high school students who have participated in their respective high school's Habitat club or chapter.
