A retired 30-year art teacher and Cobb County resident frequently drops checks by our headquarters to honor a friend or family member “in lieu of flowers”. We recently asked Ms. Park about her motivation. Even though she graduated from Osborne High School, she attended 21 different schools as her family frequently moved around.
“Home ownership is very precious to me,” said Ms. Park. “My mother died at age 70 never having owned her own home. I am impressed with Habitat’s sweat equity requirement and that they offer the homebuyer a no-interest loan.”
