This week our affiliate held an outdoor picnic to recognize the enormous efforts of those volunteers who work for us all year around. Our Construction and Family Selection committees serve in key areas of our operation and we could not minister to the families we serve without their support. The Family Selection committee reviews and screens all of the potential applicants and serves as advocates for our homeowners. Our Construction volunteers work year around to provide expertise, manpower and direction to the volunteers who come to construct our homes. This group which includes our Gray Ghosts, House Leaders and Crew Leaders often work numerous days of the week during the hottest part of the summer on multiple build sites at the height of the build season.
We took an evening for fellowship and food to show our appreciation for their efforts. Thank you to Bill’s Grill on Wheels (billsgow@gmail.com) for providing a delicious meal and Shout Out to Marietta FUMC for hosting our event at the Pavilion in the Park.
We are so fortunate to have these wonderful people who volunteer their time and expertise over and over again to our affiliate. We love our VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
