We welcomed Georgia State Senator Dr. Michael Rhett on our eleventh build of the year. Dr. Rhett and Habitat volunteers raised the walls on the first day of the nine Saturday schedule.
Senator Rhett said, “I enjoyed the experience of the community coming together to invest in infrastructure that will someday enrich the lives of our future neighbors. I also learned that I am not all thumbs and can actually use a hammer. As a matter of fact, I had a hammer and hammered in the morning and also in the afternoon all over this land!” (Smile)
