Peach State Health Plan Sponsors Habitat House

PeachStateSmyrna, GA (January 29, 2016) – Peach State Health Plan representatives presented a check for $37,500 to NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity to sponsor the healthcare organization’s first Habitat House.

“Peach State Health Plan is dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare in communities around the state, and we proudly support organizations that help Georgians with their most basic needs,” said Patrick Healy, president and CEO, Peach State Health Plan, said. “We are honored to partner with NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, an organization that has been a vital part of the community for 30 years.”

“As part of Peach State’s sponsorship, their employees will also participate in the building process by contributing many volunteer hours,” David McGinnis, president and CEO of NW Metro Atlanta Habitat, said. “Involving employees creates camaraderie and fellowship as they volunteer their time, which is an important part of the unique Habitat sponsorship experience.”

NW Metro Atlanta Habitat’s newly funded house will be a part of the affiliate’s 30th anniversary year. It has built over 400 affordable homes in Cobb, Douglas and Paulding counties since 1986.
