At a recent Marietta house dedication, the new homeowner shared that the house she was moving into had originally belonged to the grandmother of one of the volunteers. Click here or on the picture to watch the video or read the transcript below.
New Homeowner: This gentleman just shared with me, this was your mom’s...
Volunteer: My grandmother’s.
New Homeowner: His grandmother's house. So this was passed down family to family. And I appreciate the story he shared. My daughter and I are beginning a journey as being vegans. I don't know anything about growing my own harvest and that’s what his grandmother did in the backyard. So I'm going to name the backyard “My Harvest” to recognize his grandmother.
Volunteer: Thank you.
New Homeowner: That's a blessing. Thank you for sharing. It warms my heart and makes me feel welcome. This was a blessed and loving place. I'm very grateful for everyone to be here and to welcome me and my daughter to be able to be a part of your life. Thank you so much.
