New Officers for Pope Campus Chapter

New Officers for Pope High School Campus Chapter

Last Thursday, the Pope High School Habitat Campus Chapter thanked their volunteers with a year-end party held in Pope’s cafeteria. Core members who raised funds and worked on the house received recognition certificates from faculty sponsor, Cindy Holland and house leader, Vin Schager.

After playing games and receiving the certificates, new officers for 2015-2016 were announced. The 11 new Campus Chapter officers are: Halona Chai, Jack Toppin, Taylor Stumpf, Payton Chin, Ramsey Lehman, Steven Runge (unable to attend), Eyla Gomard, Ben Ryder, Philip Husney, Ethan Thomas and Francesca Villegas. The celebration was topped off by pizza and sweet treats.

Congratulations to the Pope Campus Chapter on their 18th year of building Habitat houses and for winning a State Farm Matching Grant and Action Planning. Through Habitat for Humanity International, Inc., State Farm awards only 16 grants per year to campus chapters throughout the country. Pope’s Habitat Campus Chapter won a matching grant for the last two years!
