Our Family Homeowner Services people recently received a letter from a veteran who participated in The Home Depot Foundation Veteran Repair Program. Her words warmed our hearts. We wanted to share it with you.
Dear Ms. Currie:
I just wanted to drop a line to let you know how much I appreciate all your group has done for me over the past few weeks. When I first placed the call to you, I really didn’t believe that anything would happen and it has somewhat overwhelmed and stunned me to have been so blessed with some much needed assistance. And the speed with which your group responded has left me breathless.
Every member of the team (Ragsdale Heating and Air and Bart’s assistants) were professional and personable. And though they may have encountered difficulties with the project because of an old house, they all remained calm and pleasant and made the experience enjoyable for me.
I must say that I’ve been a career volunteer (began when I was seventeen) with various organizations, but just stopped about ten years ago simply because I was tired and my faith in people weak. I was raised to believe that what goes around comes around, but life has taught me that isn’t true because nothing ever came around to me…until now.
You have strengthened my faith. And bless you and your group for that.
