George Davis: January’s Gray Ghost of the Month

In his pre-Habitat life, George started his career as a Navy pilot. He was on active duty for 20 years and did two tours in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, he became an airline pilot for Continental Airlines.

George has been working with Habitat for Humanity for 25 years. He was a Saturday volunteer until retiring in 2002. Then he became one of Roy’s Boys with the Northwest Metro Atlanta Habitat affiliate.

He is a hardworking, articulate and caring leader. The only time George will stop working is after everyone else has gone through the lunch line or when an aircraft flies overhead!

We all appreciate George’s dedication to Habitat. His wife, Vickie, jokes that if she wants George to fix anything around the house, she has to put a Habitat sign in their front yard.

Thank you, George, for your decades of service!
